Every Dog Deserves Clarity

A note from Anayla, for every family who feels stuck

Dear guardian,

When your dog is struggling, pulling on the leash, barking at everything, anxious when you leave, it’s stressful for both of you. I know, because I’ve been there. You love your dog. You just need the right tools.

We start with a formal evaluation to understand your dog’s temperament, history, and specific challenges. Then we build a plan that’s personalized, structured, and designed to create lasting change, not just temporary compliance.

Because every dog deserves to feel confident, calm, and understood.

With care, Anayla

How We Help

Your Dog’s Journey with Us

As one client told us: “The commands were easy for us to learn, and Anayla took the time to teach us, continuing to answer our questions even after the training was over.”

Step 1

Getting to Know Your Dog

We begin with a formal evaluation of your dog’s temperament, history, and specific challenges, so every recommendation is grounded in who your dog actually is.

Step 2

A Personalized, Structured Plan

No generic scripts. Your plan is built around your dog’s stage and needs, from foundational obedience to advanced behavior modification, and designed for lasting change.

Step 3

We Train You Too

Progress depends on the whole family. We make sure you understand every command and technique, with group classes, private lessons, virtual consultations, and phone support along the way.

Common Struggles We Understand

Behavior Challenges We Help With

Your dog isn’t broken. With the right approach, rooted in science and patience, your dog can thrive.

Leash Pulling

Turning stressful walks into calm, connected time outdoors for you and your dog.

Excessive Barking

Understanding what your dog is trying to tell you, then teaching a calmer way to say it.

Reactivity & Aggression

Helping your dog feel safe around other dogs, people, and everyday triggers, with structured protocols for aggression when it’s part of the picture.

Jumping

Building polite greetings so excitement doesn’t turn into an overwhelming welcome.

Separation Anxiety

Gently building your dog’s confidence and independence when you’re apart.

Fearfulness

Structured, patient work to help fearful dogs feel secure in their world again.

We’re With You

From Puppies to Advanced Training

Whether you’re starting fresh with a new puppy or working through complex behavioral challenges, we have a program built for your dog’s exact stage and needs. No matter where your dog is today, we’ll help you get to where you both deserve to be.

Puppy Training

A gentle, structured start for socialization, foundational manners, and confidence.

Obedience & Behavior Modification

Structured, science-based programs for everyday manners and more complex challenges alike.

Therapy Dog Preparation

Programs close to Anayla’s heart, preparing dogs to comfort and support others in the community.

Anayla is also a certified service dog trainer, a credential born from her own experience training her dog Chencho — though service dog training is not a current program focus.

About Anayla

A trainer who started as a rescuer, first

Anayla Fontán Núñez didn’t set out to build just another dog training business. She set out to change what dog training looks like in Puerto Rico.

As a Marine Biologist turned Master Dog Trainer, her journey began when she rescued Marek, a pitbull mix with reactivity challenges, and discovered that real change was possible with the right knowledge and the right heart.

Today, Puerto Rico Canine Training serves families island-wide from Vega Baja, offering structured, science-based programs that bring dogs and the people who love them closer together.

Serving Puerto Rico, Island-Wide
